HARDWARE
A variety of hardware is available for use on our windows. We supply and install operating hardware on all our windows.
For hinged windows, such as side-hinged casements or top-hinged awnings, we recommend concealed stainless steel friction hinges. They are adjustable and have have built hold-open and washability feature. We also use brass butt hinges, especially for curved top windows.
For double hung or single hung windows, we often use concealed spring balances. We can also use traditional weights and pulleys with cords or chain; this hardware is more expensive, but well-suited for large or heavy sash and historic restorations.
Horizontal sliders use an aluminum or brass track and concealed ball-bearing rollers to allow the sash to slide smoothly.
We can also provide finish hardware, as an option. Finish hardware includes locks, latches, and handles. We have no standard choices here, there are too many options to list. It is available in a variety of styles, finishes, and sizes. Let us know what you are looking for and we can help you find it or supply it.
We can supply multi-point lock hardware for hinged windows. It provides a very secure, but concealed locking system. There is also a wide variety of handle styles available.
